Born and raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, I have grown up with a deep passion for the outdoors and especially fishing for all species in and around Melton Hill Lake northwest of Knoxville. I now am a USCG licensed captain and I am equipped to guide for muskies, stripers, bass, and anything else that swims.
Servicing East Tennessee including Melton Hill and Watts Bar Lakes.
Muskies are known as the fish of 10,000 casts, but with a little guidance, we can shrink that number considerably. Muskies are by far the toughest fish to target in freshwater, but the reward of landing one is well worth the effort.
What goes into a musky fishing trip?
Water depths, clarity, temperatures, water currents, bait conditions, light penetration, lunar phases, tributary runoff, dissolved oxygen, and other predator fish can affect the locations and feeding patterns of muskies. I am dedicated to learn everything I can about these fish and their patterns and this ultimately helps me to find these fish throughout the year. Whether you are a seasoned veteran or just getting started, I can work with you to help shorten the learning curve of musky fishing. Take a look at the photo page and you will see hundreds of catches over the past few years.
We mainly cast for these muskies using a variety of methods and utilize the latest technologies to help put you in front of some hungry fish.
All muskies are to be released after catching, this ensures the fishery can withstand the pressure. Muskies have been caught and released several times with myself personally catching the same muskies several times and thus knowing that proper catch and release techniques work.
Want more information about muskies or want to help preserve the fishery?
I am a member of MuskiesInc. which is a nationwide group of musky fishermen and women dedicated to promote the musky fisheries in the United States and Canada. The musky population on Melton Hill is dependent upon stocking efforts by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and I am dedicated to working with their biologists to ensure that a healthy musky population will continue to thrive in the future. Let’s go after the most vicious fish in freshwater. The musky can be caught year round in a variety of locations. I have a year round pattern for these fish. If water conditions are unfavorable, we may resort to fishing for other species. Message me if you have any questions.
